What is the best company to apply to for a personal loan?

I'm unemployed and I would like to loan money-but I am not a homeowner.Where should I apply to?By the way,I live in the UK.

What is the best company to apply to for a personal loan?
Talk to the HSBC, they offer loans based on credit score rather than employment status. Also if you take one with them at the moment they will defer the payment for 3 months so you won't have to begin repayments until the end of December.

They also are willing to haggle with you, so if your credit isn't good you still stand a chance with them if you talk to them nicely.

I'm self employed so credit is a peculiar sticky subject with me and most banks - but the HSBC have always been very welcoming.

Try to avoid companies offering loans that aren't banks - they all bump the interest rates to 20% after a couple of months of you taking the loan. Which means you'll spend your entire life in debt and will be struggling more than when you originally wanted the loan.

Good luck with it!
Reply:first get a barclays bank account, then get a job...wait 9 years and then get a loan from them. Up to £20,000 I am eligible for!
Reply:Try www.moneysupermarket.com. enter your details and it will give you a list of companies and their rates. The only problem i think you will come across, is that you do not work. Any chance you could get a job, and then a loan?

Good luck

You answer a few easy questions then they bring up all the loan providers who you could get a loan from so you can see who is offering the best rate.

It is quick and easy and doesn't cost you anything.

Good luck.
Reply:Check with money supermarket.com
Reply:I think you should first check with your local bank. Sometimes they will give you a personal loan.
Reply:if your unemployed a bank wont touch you, that means you will have to go to places like,The provident,or Cable finance these places offer small loans to the unemployed but beware the interest rates are very high, you should maybe try a crisis loan from the social, interest free and it comes off your benefits.
Reply:i would say Nationwide but everyone's different
Reply:THE BEST ONE IS THE 1 THAT WILL GIVE IT TO YOU BUT I DOUBT ANY WILL .
Reply:Consider credit union - more socially/community orientated and are limited by law to the interest rate they can charge.
Reply:Loan sharks will loan you the money but I suggest you contact the citizens advice bureau - they'll be able to work through your personal situation and possibly suggest options such that you do not need to resort to a loan.
Reply:well for one, you are unemployed..and alot of financecial company's wont even look at you, because you have no income coming in and they will want too know where you will get the resoures to pay your loan...you need or do you have enough credit? they mite look at that..but you can't get any monies on just looks alone...
Reply:There may be something of use here.
