I have a rough beacon (550) and in need of a 2nd car as my wife and I are sharing one. I just want to get a 5000-8000 loan and have payments around 300-350 a month. I do not want to go to a nuy here pay here dealership. I would rather deal with an individual selling a car.
What is a reputable place to get a car loan with bad credit?
Use cash. You are in no position to get a loan or even worse "fleese" a car.

Reply:I'm not an employee of CAPITALONE but I suggest you try there. They have different programs for all types of credit scores. They give loans to buy vehicles from private parties as you mentioned. As you have seen, buying from a buy here pay here lot is highway robbery. You will usually be forced to agree to pay 10 times the blue book price.
Reply:try capital one auto finance or wells fargo auto finance. The rates will prob be higher but you will prob get approved if you have a stable job at make at least $1200.00/month
Reply:Get a loan with YOUR car as collateral if it is paid off. If not, get a credit card or loan against your home. The interest rates will be so much lower than financing a car.
